In view of the problems of isolated areas such as islands and reefs far away from the inland, inconvenient maintenance of equipment systems, and high requirements for safety and reliability, this paper designs the new DC-type and AC-type power storage modular photovoltaic air conditioning units. The integrated design of power storage, inverter and cooling unit components is carried out, and the performance degradation caused by integrated heat accumulation is analysed theoretically. A performance experiment platform is built, and the operational performance of the modular air conditioning units under different weather conditions such as sunny, cloudy and rainy days is measured. The COP range of the two types of units is 2.80 to 3.35. The modular photovoltaic air conditioning units can meet the demand for air conditioning in isolated areas with abundant solar energy and have the characteristics of flexible and convenient replacement.
